The vision of A V E design is to combine creativity, art and commerce with projects focusing on education and income generation for women and children in developing countries. The exchange of knowledge and creativity both ways is an important aspect. We aim to give and receive, educate and learn, build and generate an international network of exceptional women.

A V E is now receiving help from eleven women in Bahia, who learned to reproduce the designs. These women, ranging in age from 18 to 55, have the possibility to work at home and take care of their children at the same time.

The women are motivated to develop their own creativity. This resulted in an exhibition at Gallery Lous Martin in Delft (2006) where their pieces were shown and received with extreme enthousiasm.

A V E design is not only focusing on income generation, but has also set up a small education program in the region together with the organisation 1WE. Two groups of students in Vila de Sauipe receive free English lessons from a professional teacher, free twice a week.
